To those who have never visited before:
This is a sort of on-line diary. I ramble on
about my life, or whatever suits me. There is never any guarantee
that everything will be punctuated correctly, or even make any sense.
I write in this diary weekly, daily, monthly -whatever suits my
schedule. I hope that you enjoy my musings.
I am Chris Delacroix, of Hicksville (it's not
really called Hicksville), North Carolina. I have lived abroad since
the age of six, and in doing so I have become a statistic. Yes, a
statistic. My school counsellor showed my mom a little study that has
been done on children who have lived overseas all their lives, just
as I have.
It turns out we (overseas kids) "see the
bigger picture", and are "more interested in the world, as
a whole" and "find it hard to associate with anyone who has
not lived overseas." I personally find this to be true to some
extent. I'm not saying "Nyah, nyah, I'm better than you." I
just don't feel like such a misfit anymore...going back to the United
States has always been odd for me. I can now feel like a weirdo,
without feeling overwhelming guilt.
As you can tell from the address, I am Gay, or
Bi-sexual rather. There is something to be said for both the sexes, I
think. I have not officially "come out", so this is
probably going to be a shock for some of those who know me (and old
news for some).
Enough of the psychobabble. Here, this is what you
